THERE
IS NOTHING TO RELINQUISH
In
a real spiritual practice, there is nothing to be relinquished, and there is
nothing anyone can relinquish. Since everything belongs to that “Brahman”, if
anyone feels that he has relinquished something, it is nothing but his
ignorance of relinquishing the materials belonging to the “Brahman”.
Spirituality
says that you can possess anything available in this universe, but implores you
to get detached from the ownership, because, you are not the owner. When a
spiritual practitioner evolves from the clutches of his own self, he becomes
the Reality. A saint who is living in the Reality clearly understands that he
brought nothing while coming to this world, thereby, nothing belongs to him. He
also knows that all his possessions of materials will cease at the time of his
leaving the world physically.
Relinquishment
of the ‘I’-ness is very much required for spiritual progress, and not that of
the material possessions.
