Importance
and benefits of Satsanghs:
‘Sat’ is called the essence of soul. When that
‘Sat’ is expanded inside the soul, it starts spreading its quality of purity
into the area where it is. Many
personalities have expanded their souls, thereby giving the effect of the
‘Sat’. When such personalities are
joining together in a particular place, spreading the purity from the essence, it is called the SATSANGH. Participating in a satangh is equivalent to
taking a bath in
In NC spiritual practice, one is required to attend
regular ‘silentation’ at NC Centres as well as weekly satsanghs. By attending
regular silentation classes, the impurities in the mind of the practitioner get
gradually reduced, clearing the way for vacuumisation. This vacuumisation
provides the area for the expansion of the soul, while one is attending the
satsangh. Attending the silentation classes regularly is hence as important in
spiritual practice as attending the satsangh regularly. In other words, by
regularly attending silentation classes, the practitioner prepares himself to
receive the essence transmitted during
satsangh for spiritual expansion.
During satsangh, if the physical Master is
available, there will be direct transmission and translitting from Him to the
practitioners and the effect is multifold.
In case of His absence during satsangh, the same flow of the essence can
be received because the Guru Tatwa which is available in the personality is the
cause for the flow of energy, with the same effect.
When we look at the benefits of attending satsangh,
there are many, but a few are mentioned below-
1. An immediate peace can be
obtained by removal of thoughts during the process of cleaning at satsangh
2. Mind will be relaxed
completely from all agitations and stress that the practitioner had before the
satsangh.
3. Worries and anxieties will
be gradually removed by regularly attending the satsangh.
4. A tremendous courage will be
developed inside to face the life and unexpected problems.
5. This courage only can help
him to continue this spiritual practice and to live as well in this world
during his hard times.
6. Satsanghs are full of purity
and love and thereby the practitioner starts experiencing the Divine Love from
within after some time. Moreover, after
some level of practice, he begins to transmit it to the outside world.
7. Continuous attendance of
satsangh improves the purity of mind by regular removal of impurities and leads
the practitioner towards higher spiritual stages. Many positive qualities will be developed in
the practitioner and he will be preparing himself to extend his maximum help to
the rest of the world.
8. A regular satsanghi cannot
have any negative attitudes, like cheating, grabbing other’s properties,
unwanted desires and other negative qualities, but he understands his own
weakness and strength to improve himself.
9. The practitioner naturally develops
a detached attachment towards his family, relatives and friends and his
belongings, properties etc., finding a way to get along with the spiritual
practice along with family life.
10. He also understands gradually that all
attachments he had so far, is really not
at all attached to him but attached to ‘That’;
11. Advance spirituality and
spiritual conditions are possible only when the practitioner attends satsanghs
regularly without break, with some kind of sacrifices in his life. This
satsangh only can lead the practitioner to the highest-level spiritual
achievement to become a Master of purity and serve others.
12. Since life energy (pranahuti)
is transmitted, during satsangh it helps the practitioner to live happily in
material life also. Nobody knows the power
of this life energy totally. It can give material benefits also along with
spiritual elevation.
13. Spiritual practice is
possible only when practitioner loses his tension of material life. Satsangh’s energy helps him to balance both.
