VASUDAIVA KUTUMBAKAM
Article published in "Mouna Chandrike"- Monthly spiritual newsletter 05-Aug-2017
VASUDAIVA KUTUMBAKAM
Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam The purport of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is that every living being on planet earth belongs to a single family and therefore all of us are the members of the same universal family . This is the spiritual and positive perception. But in materialistic life , we find many separate families each one having its own family members . All are interested in the welfare of their own families because everyone considers different from each other from the materialistic perspective .
In spirituality , all those ( excepting the kingdom of the plants) reproduced from females , are considered belonging to a single family . In spiritual angle , every member of the family is perceived as one ( Athman or Soul ). The remaining things ( Anaathmas ) in the cosmos are many . By perceiving the one family concept , the people lose resentment and prejudice towards the fellow members depicting positive mentality . We need to know that all beings are temporarily visitors to this planet . It is something like the people mingling with other co - travelers in a train journey . Probably , it is true that the journey is very short and the travellers do not have enough time for prejudice , quarrel etc.
When we think on the same lines , our lives on this planet is too short compared to the time span of the existence . Then why should there be differences in us , especially among the human beings ? Is it that we have not accepted others as co- travelers or visitors ? Do we think that we have permanent connections for ever together ? Irrespective of the connection that we had in the past or we will have in the future , we should experience that we are all together here in the present .
Addressing the kind of disparity observed in the above , Shivaguru expounds that Spiritual positivity attained from Shivality training at SSBSSF transforms the minds of the seekers from lower to higher perceptions to experience the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam , the single - family concept that is beyond time . The human lifespan of about 100 years is considered miniscule and of little value . When this perception is developed in us , we will begin to experience that the life is too short in this materialistic world and we neither shy away from loving others nor we have time to create prejudice , grudge , jealousy etc. towards our fellow travelers . Everyone can definitely maintain love if the association is for a shorter period . Though we cannot take care of all the members belonging to the single family , we should refrain from causing disturbance in family .
We have come here to live in peace with love for others and we should let others too to live in peace till the end of our journey in this planet . The motto of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is ' Live and let live ' , ' Khud jiyo , auron ko bhi jeene do ' . Allow every member of this family to live together by sharing their love and lead a harmonious life.

Q: What is dependency upon divine? Need an example?
Everything is feeling of human being. IAM so & so is a feeling and IAM not
so&so is the result of destroyal the feeling. This condition is called as spirit
Everything has come from vacuum. It has the power to create, maintain & destroy. When the human becomes vacuum, all these things happen automatically.
Our sufferings are because of disconnection with Divine

Good and Bad mind- Mouna chandrike -July 2017
All humans possess good as well as bad mind. Everybody is good when things happen to their desires and likings. When the opposite happens, people turn bad and expose bad mentality, evil nature and at times, they may turn devilish.
When everybody becomes good under all circumstances in this world, we don't require police stations, courts etc. When the circumstances are not favorable to the people, they exhibit bad mentality. How come people are unable to accept all circumstances either good or bad? This aspect needs to be addressed for the well being of the society.
We know that accidents, failures, disappointments and many other calamities that happen are beyond our control and it is a fact that human beings have no control over such happenings. Under such circumstances, human beings have to simply surrender to the nature instead of being reactive. But we do react because of ignorance about the truth. This situation is mainly due to our mental impurities.
Apart from the natural calamities that happen, human beings create a great deal of unwanted circumstances that disturb others. Even, such situations are also beyond our control since controlling the human minds is very difficult unless and until our minds are free from impurities (negativities).
We often create impurities in the mind without our knowledge when we dislike the affairs and objects in this materialistic world. It is not necessary that we must like everything in this world. Many times, we are compelled by the society to accept things which we don't like. The dislikes create unnecessarily thoughts that turn into impressions and get stored in the subconscious mind. As long as the impressions are available in the subconscious mind, the human beings behave negatively when the circumstances are not favorable to them. They do not accept the truth that their behavior depends upon the nature of their mind, good or bad. We accept the nature of the animals though it is bad, but in the case of the bad behavior of human beings, we are unable to accept because of our expectation that every human being should behave positively. This non-acceptance of truth creates disturbances in the human minds and settles down as impressions.
The only way to make people positive at all times is to destroy their impressions permanently by removing their negative side of the mind.
Shivam being the destroyer of negativity, we can get help from Shivam to eliminate the impressions of the human beings and make them positive.
Shivality training at SSBSSF is to invoke the condition of Shivam in the people for their well being.

Sagun and Nirgun Bhakti Mouna chandrike -Jun 2017
1. SAGUN BHAKTI: With five senses dedicated to god: hymns,
with heart, ask god's help
2. NIRGUN BHAKTI: Worship with knowledge: with mind; when
the senses tempt us to do wrong, we should fight against it, to
become positive.
We can worship God with our five senses (Sagun Bhakti) or with knowledge (Nirgun Bhakti).
Sagun Bhakti is worshiping the God with the five senses, by dedicating these senses and their activities including worshiping to the God. It implies we speak good, we hear no evil, and we see with noble eyes excluding any immoral lust etc. It is worshiping the God with the heart using the five senses. It is not knowledge based or logic based. Reciting God's name or hymns (even without understanding the meanings as most of us do at present) is part of Sagun Bhakti.
Idol worship also falls in the same category; but remembrance it is not an end by itself. Some of us believe in idol worship and others think it is an immoral practice. This contradiction is the cause of many a battle in human society, both views can be right. However if Sagun Bhakti is an end by itself, then there is a flaw in it. An idol is an aid to worship the God; it is not the God, as perceived by a vast majority. To believe in, idol worship or other rituals (which we do using our five senses) may be good for a beginner but we must graduate to 'nirgun bhakti' as we grow. The advantage of idol worship/Sagun Bhakti is that it is an easy way to visualize God, similar to the way we remember our late parents with photographs.
But we must ensure that we graduate ourselves from Sagun Bhakti to Nirgun Bhakti i.e. worshiping God logically with knowledge or mind . However in our society, there is less emphasis on correct behavior as ordained by God and more emphasis is on the rituals etc. In Nirgun Bhakti the five senses are considered to be an obstacle to worshiping, as all the evil in the world emanates due to our never ending efforts to satisfy the ever hungry five senses. It thinks of social welfare as a means to remember and pray God.
The ideal combination is that we start with Sagun Bhakti and finally complement with Nirgun Bhakti and only then it will result in complete harmony in the society.
In the end Sagun Bhakti implies: the five senses dedicated to God, worshiping with heart, remember God with hymns and is easy to follow, as we depend on God's blessings to worship effectively. Nirgun Bhakti implies: five senses are the cause for temptations that obstruct us, it is worshiping with mind, thinks of God in social welfare, dependson self thus needs disciplined approach.
