In religion, people have to follow rituals which has nothing to do with the God. Realisation of God is not possible through rituals and worship. God can't be realised outside.
In spirituality, one has to realise Himself as the spirit, called as God within.
If it's Chivality, one has to become Chivam, which is also within everyone.
Realising spirit means getting back the original condition of the mind, which was pure and positive . (Aham brahmasmi)
Becoming Chivam is to reach the ultimate condition, which is beyond the pure mind/God or Brahmam and also, devoid of duality.
