1) Faith has to come from Experience and because of belief. Don't believe anything until you experience it. We are living in this world because of our experience. When you lose the experience of this world you can think that you are not existing. A day will come where you don't believe in anything. Believing in nothing is the ultimate stage of a human being.
2) One must understand that sufferings are only in the mind. If one is successful to dissolve the mind, sufferings can be avoided in this life itself. It is called as Mano Nasha (dissolution of mind) or Jeevan Muktha (experiencing non existence though one is living).
3) We can't compare soldiers with others. They're born to undergo body level pain. But they will not suffer mentally. They're called "Kshatriyas". They must be like this. There is nothing great about it.
Q-Dear Master, but, a significant amount of mental suffering in our life comes from Physical problems (illness, injury etc). How is it possible to not get affected mentally when there is physical suffering?
Master-It's called physical pain and not suffering. Suffering is the experience of mind. The mind is the cause for suffering.
Q-Dear Master, I agree that Mind is ultimately the cause for suffering. But, most of us have a tendency to complain almost everytime we experience physical illness or pain which leads to mental suffering.
Master- Yes. As long as the mind is there, every pain creates suffering to the mind.
Q- Dear Master, could you explain about what happens when one remembers the Master when there is mental suffering?... Will it help to not complain while suffering (tolerance) or, will it reduce the intensity of suffering?
Master- When pain comes in the body you must have the capacity to undergo the pain. To avoid suffering, you can remember the Master.
As long as the body is there physical pain will be there. Similarly, as long as the mind is there, mental suffering will be there.
